The Babies Have Landed!
Fresh on the tarmac, Duchess Kate bends down to check on her 3-year-old son, George, on September 24. "Catherine and I are delighted to be back in Canada. When we were here last time, we had been married only three months. The warm welcome that you gave us at that important moment in our lives meant a lot to us – and we have never forgotten it," Prince William said in his opening speech. "That is why we are so pleased that George and Charlotte can be with us in Canada this time round, beginning their own lifetime of friendship with this wonderful country."

The Duchess of Cambridge, clad in a custom blue Jenny Packham dress and maple leaf–themed accessories (including a Lock & Co. hat and the queen's diamond pin), encouraged her little girl to wave to the crowd.

“All the children were entertained by bubble making machines, including giant bubble makers which was delighting the military children as they were waiting for the royals to arrive,” Us Weekly’s European Bureau Chief Omid Scobie observed.
Floppy Friend
"Charlotte was grinning ear to ear when she saw the black-and-white rabbit," Scobie recounted. "She reached out to pet her while Kate held her."
A Spider for Georgie
Children's entertainer Paul Kilshaw was the man behind George and Charlotte's balloon animals. "At first, George wasn't interested in getting one — until Charlotte got one, then he came right over," Kilshaw said. He made a teddy bear and a flower for the princess, and a spider and volcano for George. "George especially asked for a volcano. He was very proud to tell me all about them!" the entertainer shared.
